El primer larga duracion de los Dears, alcanza momentos exquisitos y muy intensos; dentro de las 8 canciones que comprenden el album.

C'etait pour la passion es la parte optimista, alegre y seductora seguida por Jazz Waltz No. 3 In B-Flat no precisa más que escuchar:

Lo cual comienza por abrir heridas.

This is a broadcast un track con un comienzo instrumental rigido que es ablandado por la voz de Murray Lightburn, nos arrastra hasta Where The World Begins And End el primer momento tremulo, hipnotizante (no hay voces ni versos). Un verdadero rock instrumental.

Entonces aparece un instante desolador: Heartless Romantic y ya no hay mas que pretender, una de las letras mas conmovedoras e incorporadas a la interpretacion desgarradora más convincente que he escuchado (sí, asi soy de debil):

De los ultimos trozos de este LP, There Is No Such Thing As Love verdaderamente nos hace considerar la idea: se siente como si quisieras morir y no hay nadie que te vea llorar, he llegado a convencer; a mi mismo y a los demas, de que el amor no existe.

Las voces y los ecos punzantes terminan de forma gradual y amable.

El final discreto llamado Partir, par terre ahi acaba la obra.
